Our Interferential System sequentially stimulates the colonic muscles.  It starts at the beginning of the ascending colon, then across the transverse, down the descending, finally to the sigmoid.  Then the cycle repeats.  This is a deep internal stimulation of the peristaltic muscles (not a surface TENS muscle stimulation for abdominal muscles).

Peristalsis Support – Due Winter 2025

It should take no more than 18 hours for food to transit from the mouth to the rectum (Transit Time).   Even if someone defecates daily, if what comes out was something that went in 36 or more hours ago, that is constipation.  While constipation has many causes (inactivity, lack of SCFA’s, methane production), it has one outcome.  Poor health.  Interferential stimulation may support the body in proper peristalsis.

A distended abdomen may be due to constipation.  Moving things along in a timely manner may give you a flatter stomach.

When toxins are mobilized, some leave the urine, others leave via the stool.  The slower the transit, the more likely it is that any toxins mobilized out of the liver will be reabsorbed.  Proper detox requires an 18-24 hour transit time.

As we get older, we lose muscle tone and nerve function.  This can result in slower transit time.  You can’t do sit ups or core workouts to strengthen the peristaltic muscles, but you can stimulate them electrically if you know how.
