- Repair any water leaks and remove any moldy wood, drywall or other materials, then spray area with Concrobium.
- Get a dehumidifier and keep the humidity between 35-40%
- Make sure you home has good ventilation.
- Get an filter with >10lb of activated charcoal to absorb mycotoxins.
- Test for low 10um dust particles with a particle counter.
- If 10um >2x outside values, fog with a non-toxic solution as needed.

Most foggers create wet fog. This is fog with >5 micron droplets. These larger droplets do not travel as far in the room nor do they penetrate smaller cracks and crevices. Instead they leave a damp film on surfaces. This is counter productive as moisture leads to more mold and bacterial growth. If you can see the fog, it is a wet fog, not a dry fog. We only create a dry fog.
Some units use heat to vaporize into a dry fog. This can create a dry fog, but the heat can destroy the kinds of non-toxic fogging solutions that we recommend. Our unit creates a true dry cold fog.
Our fogger has an outlet that can power an inexpensive window exhaust fan. It is programmed to turn the fan on only after the fogging and disinfection cycles are done. This allows you to ventilate the fog out of the room. Simply turn the unit on, it will automatically fog and then ventilate your room.
If using 8% H202, place the fogger in the center of the room. Place a fan on slow in the room to move fog about. Remove houseplants, pets and aquariums (or turn off air pump and seal with saran wrap). Follow instructions on display. No ventilation is required.
If using Sanidate 50:1 dilution, same precautions, but also put a window exhaust fan in a window and plug it into the fogger port with an extension cord. Place the fogger just outside the room, seal a doorway with painters plastic sheet, cut a small slit in the plastic and put the fogger head through the slit. This insures that no Sanidate fog enters into the main body of the fogger.
